Ramrod is a fully ambidextrous charging handle for the FX-9 featuring a dual spring design where each wing is independently pre-loaded, this mean no rattles and a tight feel regardless of which wing of the handle is used for charging. Face serrations offer ample grip while being light enough to use all day without discomfort. A front facing flange is seamlessly integrated into the body lines of the upper receiver stops forward over-travel without the use of an additional stopping mechanism in the upper. It also acts as a firewall deflecting any residual hot gas away from the users face and eyes. An oversized locking latch makes use of the entire latching surface of the upper (GEN 2, GEN 1 Requires an undercut), aluminum construction reduces wear and tare on the parts that count the most. Wings are designed to prevent the bolt release from being pressed when the rifle is rested on a flat surface like a shooting bench
